About Us

Our story started in August 1999.  Jeanie was a junior at the University of Kansas and Rob was working construction in the North Liberty area.  Our two worlds collided when we were introduced to each other through a mutual friend. Less then 6 months later, we were engaged and married in January 2001.

Tate was born in 2003, Austin in 2004, Avery in 2006, Tanner in 2009 and Hudson in 2010. In 2008 Avery went to be with her Heavenly Father.  Although this was a great loss, it has taken us on a journey that was unexpected, but perfectly in line with God’s plan for our family.

In 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 we had the opportunity to spend time in South Africa, Swaziland, (a brief detour to Mozambique with the Tucker’s) and Malawi.  In March of 2015 we moved to South Africa to work with J-life Africa and remain there.  As we have already learned, our timeline is unknown, but as we continue to seek God and trust Him daily for direction we are confident He has us right where He wants us.

This is our blog, our story, a picture of our daily lives, our words, and our thoughts.  As a family we pray that this is only an avenue to show the glory of God.  No matter where we are, no matter what we do – we want to praise God.  Apart from Him, we will fail miserably, but by His grace we want to share His love with others.
